Smoothie bowls are all the craze these days, and I totally understand why. Have you tried one? They are delicious!!! But beware! If you’re using lots of fruits, all that natural sugar can lead you to crash and burn. So remember, everything in moderation. Use lots of superfoods in your smoothies.
A good practice is to add protein powder to your bowls for added essential nutrients, a boost in metabolic activity and to stay satiated for longer periods. Today our smoothie was a hit. We added Sun Warrior’s raw based, vanilla plant based protein. I usually pick and choose the powders I use because some powders can sometimes give the smoothie an undesirable taste. However, this vanilla flavor was really delicious, and was the perfect additive for a power filled day on the go. See the recipe below. Cheers!!
- 1/2 avocado
- 1 chopped kale leaf
- 1 banana
- 1/2 cup almond milk
- 1 cup frozen mangoes
- 1/4 cup cauliflower
- 2 tablespoons of Sunwarrior’s Raw based vanilla plant protein
*For topping: strawberries, blueberries, goji berries, flaxseed, oats, granola, cocoa powder
- Add almond milk to blender
- Add other ingredients
- Blend smooth and enjoy
