Global Women’s Self-Care Day – An international movement to inspire, empower, and support women on their lifelong journeys of Self-Care.
<New York>, <NY>, <February 28, 2017> – Dixie Lincoln – Nichols, a Self-Care Connoisseur (™) and entrepreneur, has announced the launch of “Global Women’s Self-Care Day”, which is an international movement highlighting the much needed practice of Self-Care for women. This event will take place throughout the day on July 19, 2017 at different locations around the world.
Self-Care equips women to deal with what life throws at them – good and the bad, the ups and the downs. Instead of being at total dis-ease with their lives from depression and dissatisfaction, they are at peace in their bodies, minds, and spirits.
As a child, Dixie Lincoln – Nichols would hear older women around her saying, “I do for everyone and not for myself.” She thought it was something the older generation did. But realized that way of thinking has been woven into other, newer generations. Because the behavior of women is learned primarily from maternal figures, a legacy of caring for others and leaving themselves undone has been passed down from grandmothers to mothers to daughters. Lincoln – Nichols believes it is time women model something completely different for each other and their children. This belief motivated her to launch Global Women’s Self-Care Day.
Global Women’s Self-Care Day is dedicated to the recognition and appreciation for the success women can attain in their lives when they take time to truly care for themselves. It is a day when women will be reminded how important they are, how worthy they are, and how much what they do matters. On this day, women will globally and collectively, support each other in an effort to up-level their care, so they can support others with love, goodness, and grace. Because women are nurturers by nature. And in order to truly nurture others, they must first nurture themselves.
The goal of Global Women’s Self-Care Day is to create global awareness about the benefits of Self-Care, and encourage women to embrace and practice Self-Care without feeling guilty.
“I’m blessed and inspired by this movement. It’s filled a need in me I didn’t even know I had.” ~ Phobe Luke
