I am a huge proponent of skin care. Most of us were born with smooth, flawless skin, and continued to experience such until hormonal changes set in at puberty. Of course, after puberty, one transitional stage after another rolls in.  Like most great things – and for some women – great skin requires a great deal of work and consistency. I didn’t quite see it that way in my teens and in my early twenties. But, with age comes wisdom.

For healthy, beautiful skin, the journey should begin first, with a clean, dense wholesome diet ( which I’ll cover in another post) and second, knowing and understanding your skin type (oily, normal, sensitive, dry, combination). Some of the basics of skin care includes, cleansing, exfoliating, toning, moisturizing & protecting with SPF. Below is an amazing visual to help you determine your skin type. It also provides great suggestions to help you manage and care for your skin.
