Oily and dry, not the perfect combination.
Combination skin is characterized by medium pores, smooth and even texture, oily t-zone (forehead, nose, and chin), and dry cheeks. This skin can be difficult and frustrating to treat because oil-reducing products can over dry some areas and moisturizing products can cause excessive oiliness in other areas. The key is to treat your t-zone with oil-minimizing products and the dry areas with products that are hydrating and moisturizing.
- Use a gentle, moisturizing cleanser that won’t dry out the skin
- Use a mild toner
- Exfoliate weekly and mask weekly
- Use an oil-free or mineral based foundation
- Drink lots of water
- Eat plenty of dark green leafy and colorful fruits and vegetables
