Relationships are an important part of  everyone’s lives. Infact, we’re are not much without them. And though loving ourselves is important, having the right people (non-toxic people) in our lives are just as important, and even vital  to our wellbeing and happiness.

Take time to enjoy the relationships in your life. Surround yourself with good, positive people who encourage you and support your dreams and aspirations; people who listen to you and you can listen to in return; people who uplift and inspire you.

Last week I spend a few days with my sister and one of my best friends, whom i’ve know since I was 11 years old. For the past three years we’ve taken time to come together in a fun environment to celebrate our wins and loses, our highs and lows, and above all our friendship and sisterhood.

Having healthy relationships will help you:

Lead a happier life

Relieve and manage stress more effectively

Contribute to the happiness and wellbeing of others

So find creative ways to nurture, enhance and sustain your relationships. If you’re unsure where to begin here are a few tips to get you started:

Communicate and compromise

Spend quality time together

Listen. Listen. Listen to one another

Practice forgiveness

Have fun together

XOXO
