For some, the notion of self-care can be a really scary concept. Seems silly, right? But it’s so true. Sometimes that fear comes from the unknown, not knowing what greatness we can tap into if we dig deep enough or not knowing where we might fall short.

So rather than face the unknown, we sometimes make the decision to stay stuck in safe. When you make the decision to care for yourself, however, you can unlock tremendous potential abilities that are stored inside of you. Why not make them kinetic and share them with this wonderful world.

Here are 3 life changing C’s that self-care can cultivate in your life

Clarity

In Think & Grow Rich, Napolean Hills says, “Whatever the mind of man can conceive and believe, it can achieve.” This is a biggy. For many, not being clear on where they are or what they want to do with their life is confusing and frustrating ( I’ve been there. I’ve done that). But it’s essential to gain clarity if we wanting order to move forward and accomplish the intentions that we have set for ourselves.

Taking time for self-care is one of the most sure-fire ways to find clarity in your life. I left my job 3 years ago on a self-care sabbatical, in search of my passion and my purpose, and one of the wonderful gifts it gave me was clarity. It took two and a half years of patience, but I was eventually able to identify what my passions were, which then allowed me to fully move into my purpose in life. Without clarity, I would have remained  stuck in my 7-3 job, wondering what if.

Confidence

To be confident is to be absolutely comfortable with who you are, what you know and how you present you and it to the world. It’s simply being you and sharing it boldly and bravely. No excuses. No apologies.

Taking the time to improve your level of confidence is critical in your self-care. It will allow you to show up authentically and without fear of being less than who you are. Forget about having to provide explanations, overcompensating or putting up a defense when given feedback. You’ll take pride in being yourself and no one else.

Cash

So here’s how this worked for me. After I left my great paying job, I was not making the money I desired because I was unclear about what my passion and purpose were in life. However, once I gained clarity, it  helped me to improve my confidence in my message and my mission and move into a space of truly owning what I stood for. Then the clients began to flow in along with the cash.

When you care for yourself the way you deserve to and is worthy of; firstly, unapologetically and authentically you give yourself permission to thoroughly assess those areas in your life where you’re falling short and create a plan to improve them so that you can live from a place of thriving as opposed to striving.

Give self-care a change and you’ll give yourself the clarity, confidence and cash you deserve.

I’d love to hear your thoughts. What great things have self-care brought into your life?
